Beatlesmania CD

It’s been published "Beatlesmania" the first CD produced by the Official Beatles Fan Club Pepperland (Italian association operating since 1993) and the Cultural Association Forum.

 

It is composed by 19 musical excerpts (20 considering the Liverpool’s medley (Yesterday/Here There And Everywhere) suggested by groups or single artists coming from 7 states, in apparition order: Italy, Australia, England, Germany, Sweden, Japan and United States.

 

The Beatles world can be fully lived without losing in magic, weather carrying the listener away with the fascination of the homesickness derivative from 60’s or introducing him to new sound frontiers.

 

The importance of this CD just resides in the modern idea of an intention that is however popular, that explores their stave with wealth of details and rounds off a deep trip through the "form" song, demolishing stylistic barriers even though respecting its originary characteristics.

 

It’s important underlining that the coverbands, even if they constitute an hinge element of the present Beatlesmania on an international level, are present with measure to give a greater space to artists with a personal style, that provide a physiologically less pure interpretation of the Beatles’ songs.

 

There are some unpublished musical excepts, expressly recorded to realize this CD. Many artists performed during Annual Beatlesmania Festival organized by Fan Club.

 

The booklet contains a message by Roxana Lanfiuti Banfi, the first Italian Official Beatles Fan Club’s secretary.

Balletto di bronzo
Hinge formation of the 70’s progressive Italian rock, guided by the ingenious keyboard operator Gianni Leone. The new trio’s soul succeeds to propose a romantic John Lennon’s song ("Jealous Guy") without losing in expressive strength. Recorded at Memphis Belle in Rome the First of December 1999.

 

Harmonia
The best group of the new Italian contemporary music. Very esteemed by the critics, it’s the first time they appear at the Beatles Universe.. .but the class is not water. "A day in the life" lives on minimal breaths and intuitions more "Beatles" than many other photocopy covers.

AlexBarons
Acoustic musical excerpt from his exordium CD. At guitar Marco Rinalduzzi, one of the more appreciated Italian musicians, former with Antonello Venditti and first Giorgia’s producer. AlexBaroni let himself down the Beatles’ cosmos, as he’s demonstrated during Roma Estate 1998 with "We Can Work It Out", "The Long And Winding Road", "She’s Leaving Home", with natural cleverness.

 

Les Beat
That’s no news the stylistic contaminations but we’re sure that this Roman band will strike the public and critics’ attention with the perturbing mixture of beat and Italian rap, also outside of the Beatles circuit.

 

Beatels
Australian group with a good artistic thickness, active since numerous years under the name of Beatnix. On the credit side a CD with many compositions written by the Beatles for others during the years of 1963/1969.

Liverpool
Elegants but pluckies, the Liverpool, definite with short fantasy Swedish Beatles, turn out well whether in rock taut key or in the relaxed approach unplugged. The vocal part, well calibrated, doesn’t try to photocopy forcedly the original.

 

Cavern Beatles
Liverpudlian group for antonomasia. A little legend in the post-Beatles scene. They've participated in
Beatlesmania Festival in 1997 ("I Need You" is just drawn from this concert) and in the Festival "Beatles: dalla musica popolare alla musica contemporanea" in 1998.

 

Enrico Olivieri
Historical keyboard-operator of the Italian 70’s rock scene, Olivieri plays with the Metamorfosi (one of the best rock sinfonic groups with the Banco and PFM) and Alunni del Sole. Keyboard version of "Sexy Sadie" at half —way from new age and electronic music.

 

Day Tripper
Dragged pronunciation and very old fashioned sounds for this United States band. Simple and delicate but not for this less stirring. Very active in live performances, the "Day Tripper" have a real rock band’s physic constitution.

ReBeatles
Germans an Beatles people of iron, the ReBeatles have recorded a CD with the digest of the Beatles’ stave, naturally, according their vision. Good is the vocal and instrumental choice, maybe more level-headed in the compositions less fast.

 

Rickettes
They come from the Land of the Rising Sun and they confirm how the Beatles ideal isn’t a question of geographic belonging. Contacted by Internet, the Rickettes have sent their material in a flash: a really professional attitude. An arrangement in Beatles key of the traditional included into the album "Let It Be".

 

Shamrocks
Supergroup in activity since a pair of decades, formed by German, English (the guitarist Tony Hicks comes from mythical Hollies), Italian (Giancarlo Stefani was the first Collettoni’s Rita Pavone’s drummer) elements. Sanguineous and sharp.

 

United Spirits
Eleanor Rigby, recorded at early of May 2000, is the result of a mixture between the white pop culture and the black culture of Soul. Wonderful drawn beat and vocal harmonies open the door to a stirring and modem rap. Orlando Johnson, Charlie Cannon, Shawn Logan, David Pistoni, Kevin Etienne.

 

Virtual Dream
Beatles song lived under banner of the most pure jazz-rock. Although there aren’t the usual vocal harmonies, because is a question of exclusively instrumental arrangements, the composition bears the challenge thanks to the artistes’ virtuosity.

 

The edition is limited in 1000 copies.
