MAGIC
Let me expound on that thought from Jason Knox, New Jersey, regarding Berry Fields, and mostly, The Triad Lounge on December 8th: There was magic in the air. Magic in the air. Magic everywhere.
Strawberry Fields was jammed packed and pouring rain by the time I got in from Toronto on Saturday. A sea of umbrellas surrounding the Imagine circle with gatherers singing songs we all know and love. I made the decision at that time, to light a couple of candles and burn the incense from Betto in Uruguay. Drenched and soaked, I knew it was not the time to read the intentions, for I could not even get close to the circle, nor would I have interrupted the great vibe already happening there. I decided to come back, alone...on Sunday morning, and boy...am I glad that I did.
I told myself as I walked to the Fields, that I would ask whoever was standing at the circle to help me read your intentions. To further bring in the feelings and wishes for all of you. My God, it was so very special. People from around the world, reading wishes from around the world. Quite a crowd gathered, and when completed and caught on video by a London couple, we each placed your words and intents on top of the flowers and pictures left in the circle. Very, very special indeed.
The Triad Lounge....
What more can I say? More I cannot say. Thank God it was videoed
professionally, for I doubt anyone who was there to simply
view would have been able to catch it all in just right. For.......
I have come to know and trust with blind faith that which I
know and feel, but cannot see. What took place at the Triad
was nothing short of spectacular!
The first two guys to take stage in this small and intimate "Cavern" type of lounge were Gary Knoxand John Black. Pure joy felt from them, their singing of Beatle songs with the audience chiming in. Wonderful stuff. Gary's own rendition of "All Things Must Pass" was heartfelt and meaningful.
Now let me tell you of, John Black. He is a very special person indeed. When he sang, Strawberry Fields, the place that holds my soul...the place that I FEEEEL from in and just below my heart, about jumped out of my chest. I was moved beyond belief. The air in the whole placed change, guys. It changed. It vibrated. It pulsed. I was alive. My personal thanks to John for simply being the man and the voice that he is.
Next, Tommy Doyle on stage. Let me reiterate. Tommy Doyle is one of Lennon's own NYC bandmates from 1971 - 1972. Having played with Lennon at the John Sinclair concert, the David Frost Show and was part of Luck O' The Irish Lennon / Ono release. Tommy took the stage alone. A real pro and it showed. He first graciously thanked the Lennons for the time spent with them way back when.
Then....then wow, the first song he sung was "In My Life". And...may I tell you and Jason can confirm, what Gary Knoxstarted with "All Things Must Pass" and then John Black brought down and in with his riveting "Strawberry Fields", I can only give you glimpse into the powerful vibe that ensued with Tommy singing "In My Life".
The rest of Tommy performance was heartfelt and REAL. Imagine this, and much to my red faced embarrassment BIG TIME, Tommy asked me to bring the lyrics and ME to the stage to sing, Across The Universe. Baby I am no rich man, and brother I am no singer...but there was some very special harmony and tones happening on the pivotal words, Jai Guru De Va Om...Nothings going to change my world. Wow.
After sharing a few words of you all, and the Task...the evening came to a close. Magic was in the air, indeed, and a few smiles from our boys who were tributed and were there in full spirit, I would venture to say in earnest.
Good, good stuff. Magical. Thanks to you all who sent your intents and your beautiful words of love out to the world. You were there, in spirit, and let may I say to you once more in earnest and thanks: It's working, folks. Lennon's Task and mission, it's working in and for our world just fine and on time.
Peace and Love to all, Lynn
