On June 21st 1969 'The Ballad Of John And Yoko' went to number one in Ireland giving The Beatles their 13th number one single. Only U2 have had more Number Ones in Ireland.

The Beatles also had the distinction of knocking themselves off the number one in 1969. When 'Get Back' completed it's six week at the summit it was replaced by 'The Ballad Of John And Yoko' giving The Beatles the top position from May 10th to July 19th, a total of ten weeks.
